Pro-lifers are often caricatured as stupid creationists who just want to put women back in their place. Science and free inquiry are supposed to help them get over their “love affair with the fetus.” But science hasn’t cooperated. Ultrasound has exposed the life in the womb to those of us who didn’t want to see what abortion kills. The fetus is squirming, and so are we.

I did not catch the source, but I was listening to Rush the other day and he mentioned that new machines can tell the sex of a fetus at 8-12 weeks now. If this report gets out, it could make people rethink their belief that life begins later. I did not read Saletan’s website, but I do think Christians need to educate themselves scientifically and in many other ways to learn to argue for ideas not solely based on Religious reasons. Some people don’t listen to the religious argument!
