“Yet” A Poem on the 53rd of Isaiah

The following is a reflection on the 53rd chapter of Isaiah in the form of a poem.

The 53rd Poem – “Yet”

I, the rebellious one
Yet,
He, the one counted as a rebel.

I, the twisted one
Yet,
He, the despised one.

I, sick and diseased
Yet,
He, inflicted and wounded.

I, the ugly made beautiful
Yet,
He, the beautiful made ugly.

I, the selfish
Yet,
He, the giver.

I, the condemned
Yet,
He, the punished.

I, deserving death and inheriting life
Yet,
He, creating life and embracing death.

Willingly.
For I.
For You.
