As I’ve detailed here several times, I feel God has called me to plant a new church in Knoxville, TN. After years of praying, reading, learning and preparing the day has come to begin this great adventure. This Sunday, January 9th Discovery Church will officially launch here in West Knoxville. Our desire is to be used by God to help people Discover Life in Jesus Christ. We want to bring renown to the name of Jesus here and around the world.
We have a great team of people, clearly defined vision, a strategy that we believe in – but those things are not what we need most. We need the power of God through the working of the Holy Spirit to be on our lives. Would you pray for us that we keep our eyes on Jesus and our hearts clean from sin? I’d love for you to let us know if you will, as it is so encouraging to know people are supporting you in prayer.
The details of when we meet: Discovery Church meets at Farragut High School Sundays at 11am. Discovery Kids is a fun and exciting place for children to worship and learn about God. Our Cafe opens at 10:30 am, so come by early and grab a cup of Joe.
