It’s Football Time in…

Well, pretty much everywhere, but where I’m from John Ward used to say, “It’s Football time in Tennessee!”

So, here are the questions:

What great Saturday, or Sunday(For NFL folk) traditions do you or your family practice?

Any good football recipes?

  1. There’s nothing like Saturday Night in Neyland Stadium. WOW. The Vols run through the T and it just gets you pumped. Julie makes this football cheese dip that is out of this world…Velveeta, sausage, pamentos, some other stuff and BAMM! its good

  2. Easy recipes . . . cause those are the only ones i do ;)Cheese Dip:Rotel and Velveeta stirred and melted in a crockpot. Some people like hamburger or sausage in it. I prefer it without.Chicken Tortilla Caserole:Chicken, mushroom soup, cheese soup, tortilla shells, can of chilis (or jalepenos if you like it really hot) mixed together and baked in oven for 30 minutes.Makes a good chunky caserole dip.Fruit Dip:i reg size block of cream cheese blended with a jar of marshmellow cream.

  3. Correction . . .Chicken Tortilla Caserole:Chicken, mushroom soup, cheese soup, tortilla CHIPS, can of chilis (or jalepenos if you like it really hot) mixed together and baked in oven for 30 minutes.Makes a good chunky caserole dip.

  4. Hey, Brad,Love those UT games. I plan on going to the UT/FL game. Here’s a recent recipe someone shared with me: Dee Dee’s Bean Salsa: Drain 1 Can Black Beans, 1 Can Black-Eyed Peas, 1 Can Shoe-Peg Corn, 1 Can Ro-Tel Tomatoes. Add one small bottle Italian Salad Dressing. Serve with Corn tortillas (I like the new Scoop-type chips.) Even if you don’t like black-eyed peas or black beans, you’ll like this. The flavors blend and you don’t distinguish the individual flavors. Wherever I take it, people want the recipe. It’s a keeper because it’s EASY. Go VOLS!
