This may come across as totally disingenuous, but I’m going to give it a try anyway.
I hate coming up with ‘bio’ sections for myself. I’m serious. When I’ve been invited to speak at various places, I am sometimes asked to provide a bio, which usually reads like this:
“Brad is a pastor, happily married to Julie with a wonderful daughter named Rylee.”
The people who invite me usually make something up instead. So as I was putting this website together I saved the worst part for last. I think it is necessary to know something about a leader before you will buy into another their leadership voice and influence, so here goes.
I am luckily and happily married to Julie for over 7 years now. 
I am the proud father to the cutest girl in the world.
I am a pastor, but probably not your typical pastor. I predominantly work with students 6th-12th grade at South Harriman Baptist Church.
I know God has called me to be a church planter, and that day is coming soon. It’s on my mind 7 days a week. In case you’re wondering…it will be called Discovery Church and be located somewhere in the West Knoxville area. My mission is to reach the people most churches will not, or are not reaching. That will mean “doing church” differently than it is done in most places. Knoxville, TN does not need more churches, just kinds of churches. We don’t intend to be different because it will be cool or popular…because it won’t be. We will be different than most because that is who God has called us to be.
I love Jesus. Just not in any way close to how much he loves me. Its my goal that my life resemble His.
